• The Cerebrum
has 4 parts
• Frontal lobe

• Temporal lobe
The Cerebrum
• Controls Consciousness high mental
processing and voluntary
movements
• All four parts control different
features of the brain.
• Left brain is for speech and language
• Right Brain is for spatial
relationships, music, art and
emotions
Cerebellum
• The cerebellum
is the ball
shaped organ at
the cerebrum
base.
• It is responsible
for balance and
complex muscle
movements
Brain Stem
• The medulla is also called the brain
stem.
• Responsibilities include: Breathing,
swallowing, digestion, and actions of
the heart and blood vessels.
• Here is where all of the nerves of
the spinal cord connect to the brain
