Relocation
The first step in the demise of the Jews was a
process called relocation. First Jews were
moved to small ghettoes.
• When they were moved they were moved
by train or wagons.
• The trains and wagons were so full that
some were killed while being moved.
• Map of camps
Life in the Ghettoes
• In the ghettoes the Jewish people were
required to work for the Nazi regime.
• The ghettoes were crowded and diseases
were rampant.
• There was a nightly curfew.
Ghettoes were so crowded many
children were overlooked.
Concentration Camps
• The next phase in the hostile take over was
moving the Jews to Concentration Camps
throughout Germany.
The camps were guarded by
guard towers
•
Life in the Concentration Camps
• At the camps the Jews were separated by
gender.
• They were stripped of all possessions
including jewelry.
• Their hair was buzzed short to prevent the
spread of lice.
• They were assigned bunkers.
Jews Coming into Camp
Concentration Camps continued
They had a number
tattooed on them. Their
names were not used.
They were forced to work
everyday.
The sick were shot or
gassed.
They were fed rarely.
Meals consisted of soups
made of various objects
including dead animals.
Work included plowing fields or
vital work in the camp.

German soldiers were very cruel.
Jews were shot if……
They got near the fences. They caught a disease.
They fought back.
They stepped out of line.
Each day so many died…….
Most were executed for no
reason…..
Many died of starvation…….
Some faced another type of
torture….medical
experimentation………..
Most were told they would get a
shower and were gassed.
After they passed away their
bodies were burnt in furnaces.
Why didn’t anyone help??????
Many supported Hitler
The rest of the world…..
