up for a person or group of people who were being
treated unjustly.
2. What would have happened if you did not stand

World War II: The War in The Pacific
• Japan lacked natural resources; becomes
imperialistic in order to obtain them.
• Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in response to the
United States’ embargo.
• The US declares war on Japan; Germany
declares war on the US.
• Two atomic bombs are dropped on Japan
(Hiroshima and Nagasaki) on August 6 and 9,
1945.
