Teaching Laboratory Competing Architectures Welcome to the Computer Architecture Research Laboratory in the School of Engineering and Computer Science, Oakland University. Our research focus includes the design, performance analysis, development of high performance, application specific, low power consumption, artificial intelligence, and dependable computer system architecture using uni-processor and parallel computer architectures. Computer System architecture spans the design on single and multiple processor architectures with an emphasis on memory system, non-uniform memory access (NUMA), multi-port memory devices, hybrid SIMD/MIMD architectures using DSP and multi-core processors. Communication and interconnect architectures, grid computing, distributed processing, real time simulation, parallel algorithms for specific applications, CAN and wireless based interconnection for distributed processing are also studied. Technologies include Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), Multi-core processors, intelligent Sensor networks, Very Large Scale Integrated circuits (VLSI), Multiprocessor System on a chip (MPSoc), Micor and nano Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMs) Faculty Members Professor Subra Ganesan Contact: Professor Subra Ganesan [email protected]
