• John Bookwalter – President &Winemaker
– John Bookwalter is one of three family co-owners in Bookwalter Winery. As
president and winemaker, John is currently responsible for all winemaking
activities, vineyard management, sales and marketing initiatives and strategic
planning for the company.
– John joined the family Winery in 1997 after receiving his Bachelor of Science
degree in Marketing from Arizona State University and a 10 year career in sales,
sales management and marketing for such companies as the Gallo Wine Company,
The WinterBrook Beverage Group and the Coors Brewing Company.
– Since joining the family winery, John has held key positions within the wine
industry and local community including serving as Vice President of the
Washington Wine Institute, serving as board member of Wine America, a
Washington DC based advocacy group and the local Tri-City Chapter of the
American Heart Association. John is currently the Vice President of the
Washington Wine Commission, serves on the executive board of directors of the
Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau and is also an elected board member of
the Tri-Cities Industrial Development Council.
