A line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at two
different points is called a transversal . In the diagram, line
p is a transversal.
Angles 1, 2, 7, and 8 are interior angles.

Coplanar lines that do not intersect are called parallel lines.
Noncoplanar lines that do not intersect are called skew
lines. Planes that do not intersect are parallel planes.
