Each week we will also do Handwriting, Phonics, Guided
Reading and Spelling work
Wk 1: Poetry with focus on emotions and dialogue.
Wk2: Book Week – making a class book.
Wk 3-4: Read and watch a variety of comics and cartoons.
Study Egg hunt animation, create a story board and add
narration and speech. Act out the Egg hunt story using our
story boards and focusing on expression for speech.
Wk 5 & 6: Poetry writing.
Spanish/ICT
Numeracy: Geometry and statistics
Most weeks will end with a ‘using and applying challenge’.
Wk 1-2: Look at tables, pictograms and graphs. Interpret
graphs and answer questions about them.
Wk 3: Identify horizontal and vertical lines and pairs of
perpendicular and parallel lines.
Wk 4: Angles- recognise angles as a property of shape. Identify
whether angles are greater than or less than a right angle.
Wk 5: Directions- recognise angles as a direction of turn.
Identify right angles within full, half and three-quarter turns.
Week 6: Investigation week.
Using ‘Clicker’ to learn Spanish.

and fossils/volcanoes
