What is a GPA?

average of your grades
Helps
determine class rank
Determines
awards, scholarships,
academic eligibility in high school etc.

see how you’re doing in school
How are grades calculated?

Formula for Computing GPA:
1.
Match each grade earned with the equivalent
points/number
2.
Total all points/numbers
3.
Add credits/classes attempted.
4.
Divide total number by total credits/classes attempted.
5.
Final number is your unweighted GPA. This is the number
we look at in middle school.
