 2002 Accomplishments:

April – Negotiations with Cypress Semiconductor concluded. USB
development kits were made freely available to GSA member companies.

July – Software frameworks for the Cypress USB development kits were
released.

August – Beta device drivers for Microsoft WindowsTM Operating Systems
were released.

September – Several USB device prototypes were demonstrated.

November – Phase I and II deliverables defined.

December – The GDS committee was partitioned into device-focused
workgroups.

 2003 Accomplishments/Milestones:

Feb – Relationship between USB-IF and GDS standards movement
established.

April – Release of Phase I draft specification.

May – US regulatory presentation delivered at Biloxi conference.

July – Release of Phase I beta test tools and cross platform capable device
driver/API.

September – Release of Phase I final specification, test tools and driver/API.

September – Demonstration of Phase I USB devices at G2E.

November – Release of Phase II draft specification.
