RED CROSS FIRST AID & CPR
Program Offerings Summer 2016
The content of the Emergency First Aid course includes preparing to respond; the EMS system; check, call and care;
airway emergencies; breathing and circulation emergencies; first aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest as well as wound
care.
Standard First Aid includes all of the above content. In addition, it includes content on head and spine injuries, bone,
muscle and joint injuries, sudden medical emergencies, environmental emergencies and poisons.
Level C covers skills for adult, child and infant CPR and choking.
Level HCP covers level C content and includes additional skills for Healthcare Providers including: Jaw thrust manouver,
Bag Valve Mask, 2 rescuer CPR, and rescue breathing.
All classes will be held in Eduaction building Rm 114. Classroom location will appear on confirmation of enrolment.
