Fasting • The month of Ramadan is the month when Muslims fast from dawn until sundown. • It is regarded principally as a method of spiritual self-purification. • A person learns to sympathize for those who go hungry & do not have food. Pilgrimage • The yearly trip to Mecca is an obligation in a lifetime for those who are able to. • About two million people go on this trip per year. • Performed in the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar.
