Math Vocab EQUI- and ION
Mrs. Stoebe loves the math department!
Standards
Reading/Vocabulary Development: Students

and writing.
Students are expected to:

How to do it
Teach model word.
Show visual.
Teach word parts.
Show math word.
Have students turn to elbow partner to predict meaning. (Use word meanings in
predictions.)
Poll students on their brainstorming
Teach math word.
Have students rate word of understanding with a thumbs up if they are confident
in its use or a thumb down if they are still unsure on the meaning.
Ask students to apply words in math class.
