 Internet search-engines collect
revenue through advertisements
posted on their websites.
 To measure the concentration ratio in
this industry, economists count the
number of searches conducted on
each site.

 In the industry of shipping packages by
ground, the four-firm concentration ratio in
the U.S. is 100 percent.
 The four firms are UPS, FedEx Ground, the
U.S. Postal Service, and DHL.
 Among these four firms, there is strategic
dependence regarding both prices and
delivery schedules.
