• Twins
– Fraternal/sororal: 2 eggs are fertilized
as alike as any siblings
– Identical: 1 egg is fertilized, then splits in 2

• Polygenic Traits
– Phenotype controlled by >1 gene
– Many human traits are polygenic
– Ex: Hair Color = brown
• More promotor genes = darker brown
• More suppressor genes = lighter brown

Artificial Selection
• Farmer chooses desirable trait
– Ex: cows that give most milk
• Farmer breeds only chosen cows
