Alcohol and Drug Outcome Measure (ADOM) Implementation

Te Pou is leading work on further developing and
implementing ADOM in collaboration with Matua Raki
and the Ministry of Health

ADOM Project Charter and Work Plan are on the Te Pou
& Matua Raki websites - ADOM Implementation Project

ADOM Advisory Group – AOD expertise is in place – see
websites for participants and Terms of Reference –
consultation process.

The project will result in the development of:

Information Collection Protocols (DRAFT) – that will
guide consistent use of the ADOM measure - Jan 2011

A data collection system that allows easy feedback/
access for consumer and clinician and aggregated data –
Jan 2011(DRAFT)

An ADOM implementation training pack that includes
ADOM information protocols (ICP) and data collection
tools - March 2011 (DRAFT)

Refinement and improvement of ADOM Part B – Jan
2012

An AOD sector communication plan for
promoting/marketing voluntary uptake of ADOM –
March 2012

A plan to deliver a staged approach to implementing
ADOM in AOD services for delivery over the 2012/13
year and beyond)
Test Sites – March – May 2012

Criteria for participating in the test sites is developed
and an invitiation will be posted on the AOD Netlink,
and on Te Pou & Matua Raki websites in Jan 2012
inviting interested AOD services to make contact.

The DRAFT ADOM Information Collection Protocol, data
collection systems and the training resources will be
evaluated through the test sites and from this, final
resources will be completed.
Updates

Te Pou and Matua Raki websites will provide
regular updates on the project / progress

AOD Netlink updates will also occur regularly
