EMF vs Voltage Drop
• EMF (ElectroMotiveForce) (Volts) - forces Current to
flow through a circuit with• Resistances in it
• Current flowing through Resistances in the circuit
causes Voltage Drops (Volts) across each
Resistance.
• The SUM of the voltage drops around a circuit is
equal to the EMF applied to the circuit from the
‘source’
