E1 Protection Switching Equipment
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
• E1 Protection Switching System provides
point to point 1+1 redundancy link support
between any 2 independent E1 ports or 2
groups of E1 ports connected via higher order
multiplexers.
• Each E1 redundancy switch (each E1 Switch card) supports one E1 link
• Upto 16, E1 links can be supported by a "pair" of E1 Protection Switching Systems.
Two E1 Protection Switching Systems are required (one at each end of the link) for
implementation of 1+1 redundancy solution.
• One E1 Protection Switching System must be configured as "Master" and installed at one
end of the E1 link.
• The other E1 Protection Switching System must be configured as “Slave” and installed at
the corresponding far end of the E1 link.

FEATURES & HIGHLIGHTS
• Provides 1+1 E1 redundancy link (active+standby) between any two complementing
transmission mediums.
• Provides 1+1 E1 redundancy support to higher order multiplexers eg. E2, E3.
• System configuration & management interface through "CLI" text based commands.
