How the World Works Survivor! Central idea: The climate of a region determines plant life. Who am I? By Ryan and Philip I am in North America. I have big open spaces with only a few trees by the rivers. What biome am I? • grasslands • desert Right! • Warm and hot temperatures • Dry and rainy seasons • 20 to 50 inches of rain Wrong!! • I have lots of green grass. • This is my sound I am poisonous… • To keep animals away • To kill prey Right answer • I have fuzzy leaves to reflect the sun. • I am poisonous so animals do not eat me. • My roots go deep into the ground so I can get more water.
