Meteorology





During winters, temperatures can dip to
-94 degrees F.
Temperatures in the tundra usually
don’t get past 45 degrees F.
The main seasons are summer and winter.
During the summer, the sun shines almost
24 hours a day.
Yearly precipitation is 6-10 inches of
snow.



 Has 2-10 flowers on the top of each
stem
 Flowers have 5 petals
 Caribou, wolves, and many birds such as
the snow goose eat it
 Has rigid leaves that can grow 5-10 mm.
