Database Vocabulary It can be useful to collect information. Information can be put on record cards. records Is it easy to find the information you want? How could the record cards be stored to make it easier? Records can be stored in a database. What is the best way to sort the record cards in the database? alphabetically fields Each piece of information in a record is called a field There are 5 fields on this record card – can you name them? New words: record database field A record has information about one person / thing. A database stores all the records. A field contains ONE piece of information.
