Cell Analogy
iPhone
Cell membrane
The cell Membrane would be the iPhone case
because it protects the phone like the cell
membrane protects the cell.
Cytoplasm
The air inside the phone would be the
cytoplasm because it is what fills up the phone
like the cytoplasm fills up a cell.
Nucleus
The nucleus would be the user because
he/she controls what the phone does like a
nucleus controls a cell.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
The wires would be the endoplasmic reticulum
because they connect through the phone like
the endoplasmic reticulum connects in a cell.
Ribosomes
The charger would be the ribosomes because
it “feeds” the power source like the ribosomes
“feed” the mitochondria.
Nucleolus
The processor would be the nucleolus
because it helps the user be able to use the
phone like the nucleolus help the nucleus
function.
Mitochondria
The battery would be the mitochondria
because it provides energy for the phone like
the mitochondria provides for the cell.
Golgi Body
The applications would be the golgi body
because they package information in the
phone like the golgi body does in a cell.
Vacuole
The memory card would be the vacuole
because it stores information in the phone like
the vacuole does in a cell.
