The color
The color of the star Vega is blue with a little bit of
white sequence. Also, Vega’s magnitude is 0 which
means that it is one of the brightest stars.
The Size
The Sun’s mass is 5.025125628140703 m
(m=solar mass)
Vega’s mass is 9.39391 m(m=solar mass)
Temperature
Scientists think that according to Vega’s equator the temperature is
4,000 degrees in Fahrenheit (2,300 degrees in Kelvin).
Or from this picture you
can see that Vega is
17,900˚F on the “Polar”
surface and “equatorial”
surface is 13,800˚F
Distance
• Vega is about 25.3 light years away from our sun and
27 light years from the earth.
H-R Diagram
Constellation
This is the constellation called Lyra. It is the northern
constellation between Cygnus, Hercules and also Vega.
Life Time
Vega is about half way through it’s stable NuclearFusion life. Vega is about 500 million years old. Also,
Vega’s estimated life is 1 billion years.
How will is it born and how will it
die?
All stars start off as a Nebula, it then goes to High-mass
protostar, high-mass star (where Vega is right now),
supergiant, supernova, then Neutron star or a black hole.
