Position: SATCOM Systems Engineer

Locations: Tampa, FL
ReMilNet, LLC is seeking systems engineers to design, test and deliver a deployable secure
IP network-based wideband SATCOM communications system in all phases of the
acquisition life cycle. Specific requirements include the development of Technical Data
Packages (TDP) including Test Plans and testing support of the material equipment design.
The successful candidate will participate in technical and project management reviews with
stakeholders, address requirements, and resolve issues by recommending and
implementing solutions which may be of a technical, training, or process nature.
Duties include:









Lead requirements development, material solution design, testing, and
implementation of new SATCOM systems.
Develop Technical Data Packages (TDP) including Test Plans and support the
testing of equipment.
Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise in systems, including COTS
hardware obsolescence and software updates.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and technology
insertions that benefit the warfighter.
Collaborate with sponsor agency network managers and adjacent Programs in the
conduct of all System Engineering activities.
Solicit requirements, suggestions, and feedback from sponsor agency J6 staff,
subordinate HQ J6 staff, and system users.
Address requirements and resolve issues by recommending and implementing
solutions, which may be of a technical, training, or process nature.
Manage system technical baselines and ensure Technical Data Packages are
maintained properly.
Participate in technical and project management reviews with stakeholders.
Qualifications
Six years of experience in Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems, development, test and
evaluation, systems analysis, systems architecture. Design systems in CAD drawings.
Minimum Requirements
 Working knowledge of and direct experience with deployable quad-band satellite
antenna terminals (sub-1m to 3.9m), TDMA satellite modems and hubs (iDirect),
HAIPE inline network encryptors, network acceleration devices, routers, switches,
power backup and conditioning systems, voice and video over IP, and networking
at the branch and WAN levels.
 Minimum of six years general experience in network engineering, technology
analysis, systems analysis, and/or systems engineering.
 Four years’ experience in Joint C4ISR systems, development, test and evaluation,
systems analysis, and/or systems architecture.
 Bachelor’s degree in areas of Engineering, Computer Science or Physics from an
accredited university or college. An advanced degree is preferred.
 Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
 CCNA or CCNP certification is preferred.
