SPECTRA RECOVERY CARD (PRINCE) - FAQ
1. After inserting Spectra Recovery Card to the PCI slot, there is no
“First installation” appearing, only cursor glitters in the screen (It
shows “Lancard Restore Card v1.3” or “Now Loading, Please
Wait…”), how to solve this ?
Answer:
As the BIOS of different mainboards are different, you can try as follows:
1) Confirm Spectra card inserted in PCI slot firmly, enter BIOS, and set “FIRST
BOOT” as “LAN”(such “Boot First On LAN”)
2) If there is integrated NIC on the mainboards, such as “Boot Lan From
Rom”(have integrated PXE chipset) ,set it as “Enable”, and then “Disable”
integrated NIC(like “On Board Lan”).
3) If there is “Fast Boot” option, set it as “Disable”(like “Fast Boot”).
4) Try to “Disable” USB Port (like USB Keyboard) or Raid.
5) Set “Virus Protection” as “Disable”(Like “Antivirus” or “Boot Detect Virus”).
6) If the card driver is installed successfully, restart to “Now Loading, Please
Wait…”, and cannot continue or need to wait for a long time, if the above
solution can not help, please pull out the network line, if it is OK in this state,
it means there is “LOOP” in the switch, please eliminate the “LOOP” problem
in switch will be OK.
7) You can press “Ctrl+H” during rebooting to modify the hardware mode.
2. What can I do if there is “Read Disk Failed” during installing card?
Answer:
1) Check if there is HDD detected in BIOS.
2) If it is SATA HDD, Please set the HDD Mode in BIOS as “SATA ONLY” or
“Combined mode” or “Enhanced mode”, do not set as “Auto mode”.
3) If this doesn’t help, please set DMA in BIOS as “Disable” or enter Ctrl+H to
Close DMA function.

3. After installing Spectra Recovery Card, can not boot OS from
CD-ROM, what can I do?
Answer:
1) Check the BIOS information to see if there is integrated Recovery Card. If
there is, please flash BIOS with special BIOS tool(like “AWflash.exe” or
“winflash.exe” in “Award BIOS”, use “Amiflash” in “AMI BIOS”), and then
use modify tool to delete integrated Recovery card, the problem will be
OK(you can use “cbrom.exe” or “modbin.exe” for “Award BIOS”;
“amimm.exe” or “amibcp.exe” for “AMI BIOS” ),
2) If there is Integrated Display Card and Independent Display Card, you must
use special BIOS tool to delete Integrated Display Card.
4. What can I do if appearing “DosBhk Disk Read Failed” after
installation?
Answer:
1) Press F5 in the “Wait for login” in the Master PC, modify the “Receiving
Mode” it will be OK.
2) Disable DMA it will be OK.
5. What can I do if there is “INDEX ERROR” error during the
installation?
Answer:
1) Set the “Buffer” to default value 101MB in the Fdisk in the “Custom
installation”.
2) Please remove all the HDD partition with HDD partition tools.
3) Sometimes it is for the Network Card problems, please change to another
one.

6. The Speed of Sending parameter data normal, but there is still
“First Installation” appearing in the Client PCs after restarting,
what can I do?
Answer:
Press F5 in the “Wait for login” in the Master PC, modify the “Receiving Mode” it
will be OK.
7. The Client PCs can not login Master PC, what can I do?
Answer:
You can try with the following solutions:
1) Please check the network is connected (including Network Card, the line and
switch), and the switch is in Administrator mode or not..
2) Please check the HDD space of Master PC and Client PC is the same or not.
3) Please check if the Master PC and the Client PCs is in the same group or
not(“Finish login” in the “Net Clone” menu, you can see the PC group in the
“IP allocate”).
4) In special situation, Client PCs must login manually in the first Driver
installation, and then send the parameter one time; it will login
automatically in the next time.
5) Please check the “Link NO.”(Sometimes it is for the “Link NO. Conflicting
makes unable to login Master PC), Press F4 in Master PC to rebuild “Link
NO.” it will be OK.
8. What can I do if the Operating System is unprotected after installed
Spectra Card successfully?
Answer:
1) Please check if the Operating System had installed “Win Driver” from the
Driver Disc or not.
2) You must press Ctrl+Enter in the “OS selection menu” to enter into Open
Mode to install or uninstall Spectra Card “Win Driver”
3) Please check the “Restore period” of Type A and Type P is correct or not(Type
A must be “Manually”, and Type P must be “Unprotect”).

9. What can I do if the Cloning speed is abnormal?
Answer:
You can solve it from the following solutions:
1) Set the Hardware Mode DMA in Ctrl+H as “Y”.
2) Set related options like “PCI IDE Drivers” in BIOS as “Enable” or “Both”.
3) In the “Cloning Menu”, select “Adjust” or Press F1, Set “Send packet as the
appointed delay time” to “20”, and “Adjust value for waiting reply” to “40”.
4) If one to one PC cloning by cross cable connecting is normal, but through
Switch cloning, the speed is slowly, you can confirm it is the problem from
the network equipment. If the Switch is “three floor switch”, you must close
the “Network Storm Controlling function”(“Storm Control” as “Disable”) and
the “Port Flow Controlling function”(“Flow Control” as “Disable”); if it is not
“Three Floor Switch”, you must examine the Cloning speed in switch one by
one, login the Client PCs to Master PC in batches, lessen the range step by
step unstill you find the affecting speed PCs. Moreover, you can judge it from
the glitter of the data stream light in network equipment.
5) Change the “Receiving Mode” in Master PC(normally, “Receiving mode 1” is
faster than “Receiving mode 2”).
11.
Why does PC suddenly power off when net cloning?
Answer:
Because there are bad sectors in hard disk, so just change a new hard disk with
the same model.
12. Report “Disk Failure” under traditional Linux system, then Linux
system cannot run net clone. What shall we do?
Answer:
Reinstall Linux system again.

After net clone system, the cards can modify IP correctly, and
first entry system also no problem; but when i restart PC, it has a
alert warning. How to solve this problem?
Answer:
Set card mode to the second mode.
14.
After finish net cloning, one or two PCs have Blue-screen. How
to deal with it?
Answer:
1. Check the mode of mother-board and chip, if they are not in accord, please
clone by batch.
2. Main board type is the same but outgoing/release dates are different, and
Bios version maybe different. So, refresh the bios the same.
3. Examine compatibility of Memory bank.
4. Try to discharge the Bios; clean some parts of PC case such as golden finger
of Memory bank for old computers.
5. When in the process of data transmitting, data packages may loss due to
network situation, please copy it again.
15.
When finish net copy and enter the OS, It alerts to find a new
hardware. The OS requires restart or alert that the driver in Device
Manager hasn’t been installed successfully.
Answer:
1. Examine whether main board types are the same or not? Whether chips are
the same?
2. Examine whether the client PC connector keep the same connecting way of
Administrator PC connector (Mouse or Keyboard), otherwise adjust
connecting way the same.

16.
After net cloning finish, why IP are not modified Automatically?
Answer:
1. Examine whether administrator PC installed card driver or not?
2. Examine whether assigned IP when net clone.
3. Examine whether the card in unmodified machine’s slot is the same way with
administrator PC slot, if not the same, the names of client PC in Lan may be
different from administrator PC, which lead to fail to modify IP of client PC
4. If client PC get the IP automatically before administrator PC net clone, after
cloning, the IP of client PC also can be modified, but subnet mask is vacant,
so before net cloning, set the subnet mask manually.
17.
After the card is detected or the first installation interface
appears, why CD-ROM can not be read correctly?
Answer:
1. There are some problems on CD-ROM or disk
2. You can Install the dos driver on by connecting this hdd on another
mainboard also, and after installing dos driver connect it again to the
original mainboard.
18.
When CMOS is set to be protected, it can be restored, but when
to change the setting and analyze, the CMOS can not be preserved?
Answer:
If necessary to change the CMOS setting, the CMOS must be set as unprotected
status. Then, enter BIOS and modify it and preserve it. At last, modify the
parameter setting, correct CMOS as protection status.

19.
When net cloning, why the system option menu flash or pause
when start client PC in Lan?
Answer:
Because the data flow is huge, but it works well. We suggest clone few clients PC
should be done in one exchange machine, and PCI card not installed in middle
slot.
20. Why not Linux can be installed?
Answer:
When partition by card, Linux partition format is not correct, the format should
be EXT3, alternative partition format is SWAP.

The distinguish between partial update and entire update
22. Why it appear the status that have installed the drive of the
windows drive can’t enter the OS?
Answer:
Enter the hardware mode of card, set the “INTE13” as open.
23. Why it appear the status that lock the “LOAD PLEASE WAIT”?
Answer:
Because that it doesn’t uninstall the old edition drive. With the Uninstall CD and
reinstall the drive that can use normally.
24.
Why it appear the status that it can’t protect the PC when the
recovery card OS copy on the another PC through GHOST and set up
normally?
Answer:
It need reinstall the drive of the windows

3. The disk of the PC have the drive for other recovery card, it must clear the
disk using Low Level Formatting Software.

29. Why it says wrong when install the drive for recovery card in OS,
and can’t install it?
Answer:
Because didn’t uninstall the control software. It needs to uninstall the control
software and restart the PC，the uninstall the high bottom drive for recovery
card.

After install the drive for recovery card, it appears “Shell save of
all faid”, then enter the waiting for land interface directly.
Answer:
Install the wrong drive edition; it needs to install the right edition

Why it find the interface of the recovery card so slowly in the
DELL 320?
Answer:
Enter the CTRL+H,and change for the mode 3,then close other option.
32.
After install the drive it appear Not valid bhk img or turn off the
PC directly.
Answer:
Install the wrong driver edition of recovery card.
