With Super G3 transmission as standard
and optional ISDN connectivity, the
OKIFAX 5780 is designed to minimise
your call charges by reducing
communication time. Its 33.6Kbps
modem offers Super G3 transmission —
which means you can transmit a typical
A4 document in around three seconds.
Include the ISDN G4 option and you can
reduce transmission time for many
documents to just 1.5 seconds (with
200dpi x 100dpi resolution). Combined
with fast connection to destination
addresses, this opens the way for
significant improvements in overall
transmission speeds and cost saving.
No compromise in speed or print quality
The application of our Digital LED
technology means the OKIFAX 5780
prints at up to 10 pages per minute —
and has the capability to print documents
at true 600dpi resolution.
Super-fast scanning
At just three seconds per page, there’s a
real ‘walk-up and scan’ benefit with the
OKIFAX 5780. There’ll be less — if no
— queues and improved productivity by
reducing time spent scanning. The superfast scan speed also allows rapid
scanning, even if the machine is busy, for
copying or storing multi-page documents
for subsequent transmission.

incorporates an informative display,
navigation key and QWERTY keypad. This
push-button simplicity means all users can
learn easily and quickly how to operate
and benefit from the OKIFAX 5780’s
many time-saving features.
Advanced dialling
Advanced dialling functions offer new
levels of efficiency — that save time dialling
and helping to eliminate wrong numbers.
With the OKIFAX 5780 you can set up
one-touch dialling of up to 40 frequentlyused numbers, and allocate up to 150
numbers for speed dialling. You can also
create up to 20 groups from these
numbers for easy distribution (ideal for
communicating with suppliers or customer
types, for example). A priority key is also
available — enabling you to send faxes to
certain numbers in advance of others.
Powerful memory and back-up
The OKIFAX 5780’s standard memory
(2.5MB) holds around 200 A4 pages — so
you can store multiple outgoing faxes for
transmission later or for broadcasting.
Large incoming documents can also be
held in memory if paper or consumables
run out, and there’s up to 200 hours of
battery back-up to safeguard your work
during power failures.
For more heavy duty requirements, you
can upgrade with 2MB, 4MB or 8MB
memory options to store up to 360, 520,
or 840 A4 pages. This way, memoryintensive documents can be handled
more economically by taking advantage
of off-peak tariffs.
Excellent paper
handling
Peak loads are handled with ease by the
OKIFAX 5780’s paper-handling
capabilities. With a 250-page paper
capacity as standard, a 500-page optional
second tray and a 50-sheet automated
document feeder, it can work through
longer faxes automatically and in less
time. Printing transparencies is simple too:
up to 10 at a time can be stacked face up
and fed through the straight paper path.
Multi-functionality
Network kit upgradability
To meet the challenge of changing
business needs, your OKIFAX 5780
can be upgraded to a network multifunction device supporting major network
protocols like TCP/IP and NetBEUI. With
an OKIFAX Network Kit option providing
advanced e-mail features and an Email
key, the machine can become a network
printer, store and forward Internet fax (fax
to e-mail), network fax (fax gateway) and
network scanner.
Real-Time Internet kit
Excellent connectivity options enable you
to send and receive faxes easily via the
Internet and receive message confirmation.
Multi-Function upgradability
