Jarvis Natural Health Clinic Dr. Linda Jarvis, NMD 1489 Slaughter Road Madison, AL 35758 256-837-3448 Computerized Regulation Thermography CRT Patient Information Please follow these directions before receiving your thermogram (CRT): DO NOT HAVE ACUPUNCTURE, NEURAL THERAPY, ROLFING MASSAGE, BIO-ENERGETIC / ELECTRO-DERMAL COMPUTER TREATMENTS CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS, DENTAL WORK OR TESTS LESS THAN 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CRT. THE PREVIOUS THERAPIES MENTIONED MAY AFFECT THE BODY’S ABILITY TO REGULATE. THIS COULD RESULT IN FALSE DIAGNOSTIC CONCLUSIONS. Take ONLY medications you take regularly and to which your body has adapted. You should take life-supporting medication which cannot be stopped, such as medicine for diabetes, asthma, heart, etc. Supplements and homeopathics should not be taken until after the CRT. Constitutional homeopathics should not be taken one (1) week prior to the CRT. Do NOT SMOKE or drink alcoholic beverages a minimum of 24 hours prior to receiving the CRT. Remove DENTURES 24 hours prior to being tested. FEMALES: May NOT have a CRT performed on the first day of their menstrual cycle. ON THE MORNING OF THE CRT: Do NOT shower, exercise, work, get on computer, read, watch television or engage in any activities which will increase your blood circulation the morning of your CRT. Avoid confrontation or emotional stress the morning of your CRT. Be relaxed for your appointment. You may NOT consume any HOT BEVERAGES or any caffeinated beverages. You may have a light breakfast. Your arms and legs need to be completely covered regardless of weather or season. Wear comfortable clothes such as long-sleeve and loose fitting shirt, full length pants with shoes and socks. FEMALES: Refrain from wearing bras or open them 30 minutes prior to measurements being taking. NO tight fitting clothing – avoid clothing which leaves red markings when removed. Consider pants with drawstring in lieu of elastic. Do NOT use any creams, lotions, deodorant, perfumes or make-up on your skin. MALES: Do NOT shave the morning of the CRT. AFTER YOU ARRIVE AT THE OFFICE: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointed time. You will be placed in the examination room to adapt to the room temperature. You will need to be quiet and relaxed. You will not be allowed to read. You will be asked to remove glasses (if worn). Contact lenses are okay to be worn. NOTE: The second portion of the procedure requires the patient to completely disrobe to underwear.
