OBJECTIVES
To obtain a long term career in the Veterinarian and Wildlife industry where
my background and training, effective communication and relationship
building skills, and demonstrated responsibility can be fully utilized.
QUALIFICATIONS
Veterinarian Assistant
Volunteer work with several veterinarians during farm calls. Including helping
with Castrations, X-Rays, Ultrasounds, draining fluid from knee and ankle
joints, Palpations, Drawing blood, and giving tranquilizers as needed. Very
knowledgeable with animal over the counter and prescribed medications and
ointments, as well as injuries and injury prevention.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber
Experience working with and controlling a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber on a
daily basis.
Aqua-Treadmill
Experience exercising horses and managing the Equine Aqua-Treadmill daily.
Farming / Livestock
Live and work on a farm. Care for several breeds of Horses, Goats, Donkeys,
Chickens, Ducks, and a Pig.
Western Horseback Riding
Experience in bareback riding, jumping, barrel racing, and rough terrain
riding
Saddle Seat Riding/Showing
Experience in Saddle Seat riding and saddlebred shows, Experience with large
animals and in a barn.

Receptionist
Co-Op opportunity for school credit. Checking in clients, explaining
medications to clients, explaining client/patient symptoms to doctor,
checking out clients, make medical charts, perform call backs on patients to
clients, caring for animals the are hospitalized, assisting doctor with
procedures.

Supervisor/ Assistant Manager
(Family’s Business) Bake gourmet cupcakes, manage employees, keep track of
inventory, organize employee schedule, make business decisions for the
business, and bake and build wedding and custom cakes for clients.

Advanced Animal Care
Internship
Interned under veterinarians and helped perform procedures on Clinic
scheduled animals as well as Emergency cases. Also worked in Triage. Took
blood, X-rays, Gave IV fluids, Assisted during Surgery’s, Prepped and Inserted
Catheters, etc.

Groom / Equine Rehabiltant / Vet Assistant
Exercise Horses on the Aqua-treadmill, treat horses in the Hyperbaric
Chamber, do up horses in bandages as necessary, tend to wounds, help break
yearlings and green horses to lead and ride, tack and pony training
thoroughbreds in the jogging ring and race track, and help clean stalls and
groom the horses.
