IhavehadaremarkableexperienceworkingatOptixFamilyEyecareforthepastyear.
WhenIfirststartedworkingatOptix,Ihadaverybriefknowledgeofoptometryfromthe
internshipsthatIhadcompletedbackatschool.Now,however,afterbeingapartofthe
Optixfamilyforayear,myknowledgeofthefieldhasdoubled,andIhavecometolearn
morethanIeverexpected.
MyunderstandingofoptometryhasgrowntonewheightshereatOptix.Inhelpingoutasan
ophthalmictechnician,Ihavelearnedhowtooperateallofthedifferentinstrumentsusedin
ourofficetopre-testthepatients.NotonlydidIlearnhowtooperatetheinstruments,butI
learnedwhateachinstrumentistestingforandhowtointerprettheresults.Beingatechnician
hasalsoenabledmetogatherskillsonhowtointeractwithpatientsinthepropermanner.

Secondly,thedoctorshereatOptixarealwayswillingtofurthereducateme;theyare
dedicatedtowhattheydoandtheyareopentosharingtheirknowledgewithmeinorderto
