TheNAPLEXisa185questioncomputer‐basedexamination.Ofthe185questions,150will
beusedtocalculatethetestscore.Theremaining35questionsarepretestitemsandwillnot
counttowardtheNAPLEXscore.PretestquestionsareincludedonallNAPLEXexaminations
andcannotbeidentifiedbythecandidate.MajorityofthequestionsontheNAPLEXarescenarios,based
on patient profiles provided with some stand‐alone questions as well. The passing score reported is
NOTapercentagevalue.

MPJEOverview
TheMPJEisatwo‐hour,90questioncomputer‐basedexaminationofStateandFederalLaw.
Of the 90 questions, 75 are operational and will be used to calculate the score. The
remaining15questionsarepretestitemsandwillnotcounttowardtheMPJEscore.Pretest
questionsareincludedonallMPJEexaminationsandcannotbeidentifiedbythecandidate.Nodistinction
is made between federal and state jurisprudence questions. Each question is answered in terms of the

withaminimumofzeroandamaximumof100.
