EE111 - DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ELECTRONICS) INTRODUCTION Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of electrical and electronics engineering in the first four semesters of study. In the final semester, students have the freedom to choose their majors in line with their interest. For those interested in pursuing the Electronics major, they will be exposed to designing electronic equipment, be it digital or analog. Communication majors focus on communication network system, wireless systems and design of radio frequency equipment. Those who are interested taking Computer as their major they can expect to focus on programming Windows applications and computer networking. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES Graduates from this programme have a myriad of career opportunities either with the government or the private sectors. Among them are electronic components fabrication and semiconductor sectors. For telecommunication graduates, they can have the chance to work with major telecommunication providers. Computer graduates have the opportunity to work with computer network, computer components and software consultation and service companies. Graduates will be assigned positions as assistant technician or assistant engineer upon commencement. ENTRY REQUIREMENT A pass in SPM with credits in the following subjects: 1. Bahasa Melayu 2. Mathematics 3. Additional Mathematics 4. Physics 5. English 6. Chemistry, Biology or any Technical Subject (A pass in History, beginning SPM 2013) or A pass Pre Diploma Science (PD007/008) from UiTM Note: Candidates should not be color blind so as not to hamper from doing practical work.
