For more than 10 years, medical net has been focusing on
the electronic communication of medical data. More than
2,500 users rely on the experience and quality of medical net.
Medfile was developed by medical net at the initiative of the
Austrian Medical Chamber.
The new platform makes for optimal communication between
medical partners in a region and involves much more than
the conventional transmission of medical reports.
For us, the medfile represents a communication package
that centres on an intranet page, which provides all the
necessary elements of communication.
Medfile can be accessed with any Internet connection.

med view … view the medical reports
med view is an easy-to-use programme for physicians whith provides support
when managing medical reports and preparing them for further processing.
This programme is a key element of medfile with the following features: medical
report view, medical report search, medical report print-out.
A structured patient and medical report index has been developed for the
convenient administration of medical reports. Every index has a search function
based on various criteria. Medical reports can also bei downloaded, however, and
stored on one´s personal computer fur further processing.
A special highlight is the forwarding function which allows you to forward medical
reports in case of referrals or queries. Comments can be added to each medical
report.
med view allows you to intergrate image, video and pdf files or audio files in the
medical report.
All functions are online and therefore location-independent. Perfect for doctor´s
rounds or for physicians with several offices at different locations.

Online patient files …
A major advantage for participants is that all
medical reports of a patient can be viewed in
medfile.
For this purpose, medical reports are released from one´s own online archives for
the entire medfile network (subject to the
patient´s consent). The patient file warrants
efficient patient management and prevents
the creation of duplicate medical reports.
med view can be accessed via medfile and requires no software installation.
This is why no additional costs for starting up the system are involved.
medfile is also available as a whole for MAC OS and UNIX operating systems.
The communication platform …
The Intranet in medfile serves as information hub for the region. The participants´
master data and their medical products and services are available as key
information - additionally, dates, events, etc. can be published in the intranet.

med mail … secure communication
An easy-to-use webmail system with all the
features of a mail programme, incl. address
book, is available for participants to warrant
secure email communication. The advantage
of a webmail system is its availability from
any Internet access point.
This means that you can access, but also
send, your emails conveniently, even if you
are not in the office and also from abroad of
course.
clean mail … virus & spam protection
This feature protects email correspondence from viruses and filters out spam
(unsolicited advertising mail) before they have a chance of reaching your computer. Of course, we can also provide the protection provided by clean mail for your
present email address. Email correspondence within medfile is supported by SSL
encryption. This makes sure that the emails cannot be read by hackers!
Data protection
All solutions brought to you by medical net meet the highest data protection
standard applicable because we know how sensitive the data in the medical field
are. On our own initiative, we have decided to have our products checked by
independent experts in order to make sure that all standards and legal provisions
are observed.

med key … access protection
med key protects access to the practice
network with single-use passwords. The hacking of access data is therefore impossible
as the password is changed continuously. In
addition, all data traffic is encrypted using an
SSL system.
Access is therfore only granted to
participating physicians.
Unauthorised viewing of medical information is impossibe, medical net provides
you with the med key for a one-off use.
Option … surfMED
surfMED, an integral component of the system, provides optional functions. As
special patient service, articles on diagnostics and treatment can be queried in
the extensive library of surfMED and personalised for the patients needs.

med webconnect … even more functionality!
med webconnect also offers the option of
sending medical reports through one´s own
personal mailbox.
This way, medical reports can be saved in the
medical system and allocated. Data
transmission is also possible.
med webconnect keeps detailed records on
all the incoming and outgoing medical reports.
Ever transmission is transparent and can be controlled by the physician. Using
the items on the menu bar, medical reports can be saved in the medical software
or prepared for dispatch. No on-site installation is necessary for med
webconnect and the full programme is also available for MAC OS and UNIX
operating systems. med webconnect is integrated in medfile plus.
In labs and with radiologists, med connect is an on-site installation that can be
used to send large data volumes and warrants smooth operation in the software
already in place.

med vision is a unique solution for you to
send image, audio and video files.
