About the duck:
Painted in vibrant splashes of color and with the names of local musicians,
Ducktales Symphony Duck represents the numerous composers who
have lived in Larchmont and whose songs are still played worldwide.
Artist/musician Jasun Martz not only created the duck’s exterior appearance
but wrote and recorded a unique soundtrack for the duck to play a medly
of songs written by Larchmont music luminaries (including Martz) and
performed by various artists. Composers from the past include John
Phillip Sousa, who stayed at the Bevan House, and George Cohan, whose
works included the renowned songs, “Over There” and “You’re a Grand Old
Flag.” Prolific writer Vincent Youmans, who grew up on Beach Avenue,
created the 1925 musical, “No, No, Nanette,” which featured the well-known
song, “Tea for Two.” J. Fred Coots, another local, wrote “Santa Claus is
Comin’ to Town,” and Andres Segovia, the composer and guitarist, also
visited Larchmont. Harold Adamson, an Academy award-nominated
composer, and “Doc” Severinson, the famous trumpeter and bandleader for
“The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” are other noteworthy musicians
who have called Larchmont home.
About the Artist:
Jasun Martz has lived in New York, Los Angeles and London and has
created and exhibited paintings and sculptures inspired by each city’s
subway passengers. He is also a renowned musician and composer. He has

City On Rock and Roll.” He has composed two contemporary classical
