Selahattin Inal was Classical
Turkish Music’s composer and
violinist.
He was born in 1924. He was
from Cankiri.
His primary school was in
Cankırı. Mr. Inal met music
for the first time in
primary school. He started
to play mandolin.
HAKKI DERMAN
Selahattin Inal’s high school was in
Ankara. He started to play violin in
high school. He met Hakkı Derman
in Ankara. Mr. Derman helped Inal.
So Hakkı Derman was very
important in his life.

composition in 1947.
He worked as a
violinist in Ankara Radio (1952).
He worked with Emel Sayın, Behiye
Aksoy, Zeki Muren, Muazzez Abacı,
Sevim Caglayan, Ziya Taskent etc. They
are very important singer in Turkey.

Tevfik Fikret was from Cankırı.
He was very important in
Ottoman Empire and he is one
of the important poets in
Turkey. Tevfik Fikret was born
in 1867.
Tevfik Fikret was a student in Galatasaray High school.
His teachers were Muallim Naci, Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem
etc. They were also important poets.
Tevfik Fikret was Serveti Funun
Magazine’s editör in 1895. He
started Edebiyatı Cedide (New
Literature) current.
He wrote Sermin. Sermin is
the first children's poetry
book inTurkish Litarature.
Ataturk was effected Tevfik Fikret’s thoughts
and his point of view through life very much.
He died in 19 August 1915.
