Alberto Barreira
saxofonist, flutist, guitarrist and composer was Born in Rio de Janeiro in 22.06.1965.
Studied classical flute at the “Escola Nacional de Musica do Rio de Janeiro“ and modern harmony at
the “CIGAM” Ian Gest Intitut of Music in Rio de Janeiro.
During his carrier he played with artists of the brasilian and international scene, such as:
Simply Red, Reamon, Leslie Mandoki Soul Mates, Weather Girls, Temptations, Precious Wilson,
Roberto Blanco, Emilio Santiago, Rosana, Roberto Carlos, Claudio Zolli, Banda Blitz, Banda Black Rio,
Dalto, Biafra, Orlando Moraes, Elmar Schmidt´s Brazil Connection, Coisa Nostra, Banda Brasil,
Aquarelas do Brasil, Made in Brasil, Man under Cover a.o.
As composer recorded in 2005 his CD with his own jazz compositions.
Composes also Songs with lyrics.
As a studio musician has a wide experience having recorded at the sudios of the “Rede Globo de
Televisao”, biggest brazilian TV network.
Since 2000 living in Munich, germany
