Biography - Blandine Waldmann
French pianist Blandine Waldmann won many International Competitions. She is first Prize Winner of
the International Competition Florestano Rossomandi in Bovino, the International Competition
Eurorchestra da Camera "Nuovi Interpreti" of Bari, the Musical International Competition "Paolo
Barrasso" of Caramanico Terme, the International Competition of Musical Execution "Le Note
Sinfonie" of Castel Ritaldi, the International Competition "Erik Satie" of Lecce, the Competition
"Magnia Grecia" of Gioiosa Jonica, the Competition of Musical Execution "Premio Rosa Ponselle" of
Matera and the Ranelagh Competition of Paris.
She is also laureate of many International Competitions such as the American Protégé International
Competition of New York, the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition of New York, the
Geneva International Music Competition, the International E-Muse Competition of Athens, the
International Music Competition AMIGDALA "Giuseppe Raciti" of Aci Bonaccorsi, the International
Competition "Luigi Denza" of Castellamare di Stabia, the International Competition "Euterpe" of
Corato, the International Competition "Napolinova" of Naples, the International Music Contest "Città
di Airola" and the International Piano Competition "les Clés d'Or" of Paris/Villemomble.
She has been invited to play on the International Stage and she has performed in venues such as the
Carnegie Hall of New York, the Azusa Pacific University Concert Hall of Los Angeles, the Cadogan
Hall and the Duke’s Hall of Londres, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall of Zagreb, the Lysenko
Column Hall of Kiev, the Great Concert Hall of the "Conservatoire Royal" of Bruxelles, the Wolubilis
of Brussels, the Beschtein Center of Cologne (Germany), the "Teatro Comunale" of Florence, the
Concert Hall Nicolaus of the Sheraton in Bari, Reggia di Quisisana in Castellamare di Stabia, the
Palazzo Mastelloni of Naples, the Sala Pasolini of Matera, the Castel of Lourmarin…
A new CD will be released under DUX label in September 2016 with piano solo works by Franck,
Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt and Scriabin. A double CD about contemporary composer Jonathan Östlund
has been released under Divine Art Label in October 2015.
Born in Paris, Blandine Waldmann began her musical studies with Christophe Maynard and Désiré
N'Kaoua at the Conservatories of Rueil-Malmaison and Versailles. Her Graduate studies led her to the
Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Dominique Cornil, where she won First Prizes in piano
and chamber music with honors. Then she was admitted at the Köninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels,
where she was awarded a Masters in piano with honors in piano in the class of Aleksandar Madzar,and
a Masters of chamber music with high honors in the classes of Daniel Blumenthal and Viviane
Spanoghe.
Concurrently, she continued to perfect her skills by attending various master classes in France, Great
Britain, Belgium and Italy where she received artistic coaching from such musical personalities as
Anne Queffelec, Jean-Michel Damase, Piet Kuijken, Paul Dombrecht, Luc Loubry, Etienne Siebens,
Dirk Vermeulen, Sergei Leschenko, Christopher Elton, Volker Banfield and Vincenzo Balzani,
Eugen Indjic, Eugène Pridonoff…
