Pigeon Forge, TN
And
The Black Bear Jamboree
Three miles or so back up the Parkway that leads into Pigeon Forge, is a
little side street called Music Road. It is the home of the Black Bear
Jamboree. This is a wonderful evening event that the entire family will enjoy.
The Jamboree is a 7 Million-Dollar Theatrical Dinner Experience
celebrating the Great Smoky Mountains. The venue contains extraordinary
sets, elaborate costumes, state-of-the-art lighting, surround sound, and a large
award-winning cast.
Your evening begins with a fabulous four-course feast served in a
country atmosphere while the live band plays some of your favorites. True to
their country roots, the feast fare consists of Southern Style Chicken, Honey
Barbequed Ribs, Country Fresh Creamy Soup, Buttery Corn On The Cob,
Seasoned New Potatoes and hot dinner rolls and polished off with Hot Apple
Cobbler. Unlimited coke, tea or coffee is also provided.
Once your tummy is full the lobby will be turned into a ranger station
and the support beams take on the shape of large trees where bears might be
hiding. The entertainment includes music from the 50s, bluegrass, country,
Broadway and gospel. And there will be black bears in every nook and
cranny of the theatre so look close for the bears. And don’t be surprised if you
find some of them performing on stage.
After dinner, the show continues with happy campers preparing for a
journey through the Smokies in search of the legendary Black Bear
Jamboree. It is said that after hibernation, all the black bears of the Great
Smoky Mountains come together in the secret mountain cave. Join the bears
as the talented cast entertains them.
During this show, you'
ll enjoy the beauty of the Smokies and meet some
of the native wildlife - all without ever leaving your seat! But be on the
lookout for bears....you'
ve had dinner, and THEY HAVE NOT.
Dinner and the show last about 2 hours, twice every night of the year at
5pm and 8pm. Children under 11 are served free.
A couple of additional, notable concerts are one by 33 Miles on the 16th
at the Grand Resort Hotel & Convention Center of Pigeon Forge, and the
same night is a concert by Rush Of Fools at the Miracel Theatre in Pigeon
Forge. There’s always a lot going on in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg Tennessee.
