Dressed in their signature costumes of white polka dot shirts, long black skirts and little red ribbon ties, they emanate a mournful aura of repression and control. Mourne, Eve and Dawn’s eccentric deadpan humour is subtle and intelligent, a look or a raised eyebrow is more than enough to make a point and it quickly captivates and beguiles everyone in the room. Although the girls dress alike, during the performance three very distinct personalities emerge as they tell stories of their bizarre home life, their road trip adventures and sing versions of popular songs in their own inimitable way. These musical items are extremely clever and interesting, the arrangements are so different to the original versions that, when recognition dawns, it seems amazing that it can really be such a familiar and well known song. A good dose of what these three vibrant but sombre faced spinsters have to offer is the perfect way to unwind at the end of a busy day.
