MACDONALD REALTY LTD. 206 Lonsdale Ave. North Vancouver, BC Canada V7M 2G1 ARTISTIC TEAM DOMINIQUE HOGAN, MMus, BMus, DCS Artistic Director Dominique has worked across the United States and Canada as a Musical Director/ Accompanist/Coach, Teacher and Arranger in both Musical Theatre and Opera. She completed her Masters of Music in Musical Direction for Musical Theatre and Lyric Opera under full scholarship at Arizona State University and also holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Theory from McGill University, as well as a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Music under scholarship from Marianopolis College in Montreal. During her graduate studies she worked as the Lyric Opera Department’s resident accompanist, accompanying and playing in the orchestra pit, for Operas and Musicals, as well as being Accompanist to the department’s Musical Theatre and Opera classes. She studied opera conducting with Dr. William Reber, and Orchestral Conducting with Dr. Timothy Russell. She studied voice with Betty Doroschuk, Ranee Lee, Colin Doroschuk (Men Without Hats), Spencer Welch and she is currently studying the Estill Method. Some of her other favourite musical theatre credits are: Musical Director: A Year with Frog and Toad, Orpheus in the Underworld, And the World Goes ‘Round, Romance, Romance., She Loves Me, The Robber Bridegroom, Broadway in the 90s – a musical review, Musical Director/Vocal Arranger for Not in Earnest!, an original musical adaptation of The Importance of Being Ernest, Assistant Musical Director/Accompanist: Into the Woods, Vocal Director and Arranger/ Midi Programmer: The Wizard of Oz, Composer for the children’s play Just So Stories, Conductor/Assistant Musical Director: Bye Bye Birdie, Vocal Director: Once Upon a Mattress. Dominique teaches singers of all levels and finds it very exciting to help people “find their voices”. She is coleader of Mount Seymour United Church’s Drop in Gospel Choir with Marcus Mosely, and runs a Burstin’ with Broadway Kids Choir at West Vancouver Recreation Centre on Friday afternoons. ROSEMARY di BERNARDO Stage Manager & Director osemary enjoyed a professional theatrical career spanning 22 years. She studied at the R Edinburgh College of Speech and Drama in Scotland, and upon graduation worked for five years in Repertory Companies in Edinburgh, Harrogate and Bristol, as well as five Edinburgh International Festivals. In 1968, Rosemary moved to London, where she was a Company and Stage Manager, mainly in musical theatre, for 15 years. During this time she also worked in television on Outside Broadcasts, Cast Album recordings and on several Royal Command Performances. In addition to all this she was a Casting Director, Production Manager and Producer as well as being Assistant Manager at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and Her Majesty’s Theatre. Upon arrival in Vancouver, Rosemary did Event Management, becoming General Manager of the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival for five years, as well as being the Administrator of the Canadian International Dragon Boat Foundation, a position she held until 2010. She was also on the Board of the Vancouver Skating Club for six years, where she chaired and organised the Club’s bi-annual Valentine’s Competitions, the 2001 B.C. Section Synchronised Skating Competition, and in March 2001 she was the Hospitality Coordinator at the Coliseum, for the 2001 World Figure Skating Championships held in Vancouver. Rosemary was also President of Canada Ice Dance Theatre from 1999 - 2004, during which time she produced their Ice Shows. Rosemary is one of the original members of Burstin’ with Broadway, and is thrilled to be part of such a vibrant ensemble and singing the music she loves best! CAITLIN HAYES Assistant Musical Director/Accompanist Originally from Victoria, Caitlin has a Bachelor of Music in classical piano from UVic, and has worked as a pianist, music director, actor and singer all over Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax to Toronto to Dawson City, Yukon, as well as on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. She has a performance diploma from the Canadian College of Performing Arts (Victoria, BC) and later was on faculty there as music assistant and accompanist. For several years she was based in Toronto, where she was the associate conductor and accompanist of the La Jeunesse Senior Girls Choir (Cobourg, Ontario) and also worked as a freelance accompanist and vocal coach. Now happily based back in Vancouver, Caitlin is the Musical Theatre department accompanist at Capilano University, and plays for the PALS Chorus and the Vancouver Youth Choir. She also music directs shows for groups such as APPLAUSE! Musicals in Concert (“Fiorello”, “ Ernest in Love”, “Mame”, “Good News”) and Fighting Chance Productions (“Grey Gardens”, “bare: a pop opera.”) Other favourite music directing credits include “Sweeney Todd” (Northumberland Players), , “Ain’t We Got Fun” (Moose Jaw Cultural Centre), “Hair” (NP), and “Annie” (Chemainus Theatre Festival). Working with Burstin’ With Broadway is the best, and she always looks forward to Tuesday nights with this great group. LONNIE DELISLE Sectional Leader/Coach Lonnie Delisle sang in many choirs as a child and throughout college and university, which was foundational in his development as a choral conductor. “There’s no instrument that compares to the human voice,” he says, “especially when many voices join together with powerful synergy. It’s magic!” Lonnie is the Artistic Director of the Universal Gospel Choir, the Music Director at Canadian Memorial Church, the Music Director of the PALS Chorus and Director of the Delisle Vocal Project. Lonnie continues to take on select music director, keyboardist and coaching roles for various shows and projects. Lonnie’s formal training includes a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity Western University. He attended Vancouver Community College where he obtained his Diploma of Applied Music and received multiple awards for musicianship, including the Judy Dennis Emerging Artist Award. A versatile musician, Colin is at home in both jazz and pop settings, and is also active in musical theatre, having played for more than a dozen shows including Godspell, Riverview High: The Musical, and the British Columbia premiere of Spring Awakening. GRAHAM CLARK Bass Originally from Cranbrook BC, Graham has been playing bass professionally since the age of 13, making his debut with Wham Go The Ducks. After graduating from high school Graham attended McGill University where he got his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance with Distinction. While there he played with the McGill Symphony Orchestra and the McGill Big Band II. Equally at home in either a jazz, pop or classical setting on either double bass or electric bass Graham has performed with the Kamloops Symphony, Soul Assembly, the Forward Motion Big Band and numerous other groups. Graham is in demand as a musician for many musicals, his favourites being Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweeney Todd and Rent to name but three of the 20 odd shows in which he has played. MARK RICHARDSON Guitar Mark has enjoyed playing for many local theatre productions, most recently “Cabaret” (Pipedream), “Godspell” (Arbutus Studio), and “The Rocky Horror Show” (Fighting Chance Productions). Personal favorites also include “Pink Floyd’s The Wall” (Live Stage) and “RENT” (FCP). Mark is classically trained, an active singer/songwriter and session player, has toured with a number of rock bands, and is very active with his current project the Drive By Poets . Look out for his upcoming shows with Kitty Nights “Live Rock Burlesque” and his return to Theatre Under the Stars this summer playing for “Legally Blonde” . Mark can be found teaching at the Mozart School of Music in Burnaby. MALCOLM AIKEN Trumpet Praised for his warm, lyrical sound, trumpeter Malcolm Aiken’s music traverses the rich textures of jazz, latin and pop. Based in Vancouver, Canada he is an international touring artist and music producer with TrebleFive Records (www.treblefive.com), the label he co-founded in 2010. His latest album, “Havanaelectro” (2013), is a cross-cultural project recorded in both Havana and Vancouver and weaves elements of Afro Cuban, acid jazz, latin funk and hip hop.
