Wrinkles
Wrinkles are visible signs of aging, which are
easily treatable nowadays. For optimal results,
each wrinkle requires an individual treatment.
Small wrinkles respond well to the targeted
application of lasers, IPL Systems, Radio
Frequency (Pellevé™), JetPeel®, Peelings as well
as Microdermabrasion.
Medium wrinkles can perfectly be treated
using botulinum toxin. Occasionally, the use
of so-called fillers such as hyaluronic acid or
autologous fat is required to achieve optimal
results.
Deep wrinkles need, depending on the location,
a combination of botulinum toxin and fillers.
WRINKLE TREATMENT
Forehead wrinkles
Forehead wrinkles are caused by facial expressions (brow thinker, front pleat)
and require a specific treatment. The targeted use of botulinum toxin leads to a
rapid, long-lasting result. An operation (lifting) should only be considered if there is
excessive wrinkle formation.
Glabella wrinkles (frown wrinkles)
The wrinkles on the frown line between the eyes, — just below the forehead, —
usually occur between the age of 40 and 50. The need to focus more, the decrease in
visual acuity as well as increased stress perception lead to facial expressions around
the eyes which enhance wrinkle growth. The result is a wrinkle on the Glabella,
which becomes deeper by age. Botulinum toxin is the preferred choice of treatment.
Depending on the depth of the wrinkles, an additional filler material might be
necessary.
4
Laugh wrinkles (crow feet)
Laugh lines, also called “crows feet” are caused by facial expressions, usually
laughter. The choice of treatment is to reduce the tension of the facial muscles.
This works very well using botulinum toxin, if necessary, also in combination with
an additional filler material.
Lower eyelid wrinkles
Lower eyelid wrinkles usually occur with eye bags and can successfully be treated
using micro-injections of botulinum toxin. Depending on the severity, the use of
fractional CO₂ laser technology is advisable in combination with Pellevé™ radio
frequency therapy, resulting in tightening by heating the tissue. In some cases, a
deep exfoliation can achieve a lasting result.
Eye bags and eye circles
Eye bags under the eyes are caused by an increase of fatty tissue in the area under
the eyes. They can easily be removed by operative measures.
The injection of autologous fat (possibly in combination with the application of a
fractionated CO₂ laser) results in the disappearing of the eye circles. Depending on
the diagnosis, Carboxytherapy can also be used to reduce fat deposits under the
eyes.
Nasolabial wrinkles
The deep crease between nose and mouth requires an individually tailored treatment
plan. Depending on the cause of wrinkles (facial expression, or the lack of fat in the
cheeks), different treatment approaches are recommended. This crease always
requires volume which can be achieved using hyaluronic acid, Sculptra®, Radiesse®,
or autologous fat.
5
Upper lip/mouth wrinkles
Upper lip wrinkles are usually deep. It is important to check if the wrinkles are visible
while the mouth is at rest or during movement only (smoking, “Saying-O”). The
treatment of choice is the injection of hyaluronic acid into the lip border between
the lip vermilion and the lip white. The skin of the upper lip is thereby stabilized,
wrinkles no longer occur. Depending on the diagnosis, the patient’s other wrinkles
can also be injected with less viscous hyaluronic acid. The end result is perfectly
natural and aesthetically beautiful. Depending on the facial expressions, it is also
necessary to switch off the muscles of the upper lip by injecting botulinum toxin.
The same is also possible in the area of the lower lip. Depending on the wrinkle
pattern, the use of laser treatment can be considered, provided that a lot of small
wrinkles (cobblestone pattern) are present above the lip.
Hanging mouth angles
Hanging mouth angles often lead to a sad, tense appearance. A mouth-lifting
procedure through targeted injections of hyaluronic acid lifts the corners of the
mouth, resulting in a pleasant expression. In strong cases of hanging mouth angles,
the use of botulinum toxin should be complemented to reduce the symptoms. The
final result is a natural, fresher, younger look.
Other wrinkles
Other wrinkles, which are visible across the face, — for example wrinkles that run
between the chin and the lower lip, — should be treated with filler materials to
achieve an optimal result.

PRODUCTS
Botulinum toxin
Botulinum toxin is a protein, which is derived
from the bacterium clostridium botulinum.
Botulinum toxin inhibits the transmission
from nerves to muscle cells, reducing muscle
contractions, weakening contractions or
even completely disabling such contractions
depending on dosage. The effect of the
substance is limited to the area in which the
botulinum toxin has been injected. It takes 7-10
days for the drug to spread in the muscles, the
maximum effect can be observed approximately
4 weeks after the injection. The final result lasts
for a few weeks up to a few months. After 3
months, the effect of botulinum toxin will slowly
start to decrease. It takes about 6 months for
the substance to completely vanish.
Hyaluronic acid (Filler)
Youthful skin is mainly based on an endogenous substance — hyaluronic acid. Its
main function is to absorb water and retain it. After the injection, particles of the
hyaluronic acid gel are slowly spreading within the body. During this process, the gel
is replaced by water. The less concentrated the gel becomes, the more water it can
absorb. When totally absorbed, the gel disappears unnoticed from the body.
Small quantities of the crystal-clear hyaluronic acid gel are injected under the skin
using very thin needles. The gel gives the skin a natural volume and smoothens
wrinkles. The result is a healthy, glowing look.
Autologous fat
Autologous fat is an ideal filling material for wrinkles, as it is easily obtainable in large
quantities. Autologous fat is usually obtained in an outpatient session via a special
liposuction technique. The fat can subsequently be stored for up to 3 years during
which it can be repeatedly used to treat wrinkles.
Since body fat is a natural product, impurities or allergic rejections are not possible.
7
Recent studies have shown that autologous fat contains many stem cells — cells that
can transform into body tissue — at the location of injection. Long-term success using
autologous fat treatment on the face can easily be achieved, in about 70% of the cases
the results of a single treatment are permanent. The end result always looks natural,
and a correction-treatment is not necessary.
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is a synthetic, injectable dermal filler consisting of calcium hydroxylapatite
microspheres, which are dissolved in a water-based gel carrier. Calcium hydroxyapatite
is naturally present in human tissue.
Radiesse® is more than just a wrinkle filler. While other fillers such as collagen
and hyaluronic acid are usually degraded by the body within a few months by the
immune system, Radiesse® stimulates the body’s own collagen production, leading
to a permanent result over years.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates the production of new
collagen. Thereby, the elasticity and density of the tissue as well as the firmness
of the skin improve. The new collagen creates volume and reduces signs of facial
aging. Depending on the results and expectations of the patients, 1-4 sessions are
necessary for optimal results.
The effects last up to 2 years. Due to the natural aging process, the skin can lose its
elasticity, and a refresher treatment becomes necessary.

Lips
Increasingly, the reconstruction of natural-looking, aesthetically beautiful lips is
desired.
Dr. Linde works with various substances such as hyaluronic acid and autologous fat. He
mainly deals with the area of the vermilion, which can be modeled and accentuated.
This produces very good results, which may persist depending on the material used for
several months up to several years.
DR. LINDE‘S “PAINLESS” TREATMENT
Treatments can be uncomfortable and painful. Dr. Linde perfected the
“Painless” method in order to give patients an optimal result without
undergoing pain. During the treatment, the patient will be anesthetized
which corresponds to a sensation of “feeling tipsy”.
After the treatment, the patient can go straight back to work or other daily
activities.
9
Chubby Cheeks
Hanging cheeks, also known as “hamster cheeks”, can be treated with the latest
techniques based on radio frequency.
Devices such as Accent® Ultra and Pellevé™ can emit radio wave heat under the
skin exactly where it is needed — in the area of collagen. The collagen begins to
regenerate and form new fibers. The result is a tightening of the facial skin, making
“hamster cheeks” disappear.
2-4 treatments are usually required to achieve the best results.
10
Skin Rejuvenation
Pellevé™
Pellevé™ is a new treatment method using the heat of radio frequency to stimulate
collagen growth.
A face looks fresh and young because of its volume, collagen is what makes the skin
firm and elastic. With increasing age, the collagen build slows down resulting in a
flabby skin tone. The skin becomes saggy and forms wrinkles. At the same time,
the fat under the cheeks disappears which further enhances the laxity of the skin’s
appearance. The result: an old and tired look. Through a re-growth of collagen, this
natural aging process can be halted at a certain degree. The face looks younger,
fresher and healthier.
JetPeel®
JetPeel® is a brand new high-tech procedure for skin rejuvenation based on the idea
of a jet. The principle is simple: oxygen and water are massively accelerated by the
nozzle effect (“jet”) and “shot” onto the skin. Due to the high speed, both molecules
penetrate the skin painlessly up to 4mm. The addition of vitamins, nutrients and
other substances that nourish and revitalize the skin enhance the treatment. JetPeel®
allows these substances to reach deep under the skin where they are needed. They
promote the growth of collagen and fibroblasts, improve blood circulation, moisturize
the skin and tone the muscles. Simultaneously, the skin surface is “peeled” and freed
from old layers of skin. The aging process can therefore be stopped and reversed.
The ideal treatment takes place over 1-2 weekly intervals, 3 treatments are usually
enough for a visible change. The result: a fresher, more beautiful, well-vascularized
skin, which is characterized by greater elasticity and natural shine.
11
Peeling
The chemical peeling is an effective method to remove wrinkles in the facial area
and freshen up weather-damaged skin (such as the formation of small vessels or
stains).
The top layer of the skin is “peeled off” through the use of chemical substances.
Shortly afterwards, a new and much smoother skin layer will be formed. Chemical
peelings (dermabrasion) use different solutions, such as fruit acids, trichloro-acetic
acid, Jessner solution or phenol. An exact analysis of the skin, which needs to undergo
treatment, has to be made prior to the treatment. Depending on the patient’s skin
and expectations, an adequate peeling is chosen that yields the best results.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion — also called “Sandpeel” or “Powerpeel” — is one of
the smoothest, safest and best ways to treat aging, sun damaged or scarred
skin and improve its appearance significantly. Unlike other peeling methods,
Microdermabrasion is gentle, painless and does not cause skin damage.
Microdermabrasion is commonly used pre- or post-treatment, in combination with
laser treatments or for acne treatment. Tiny crystals are blown onto the skin, which
are then absorbed in fractions of seconds together with the dead skin cells. This
results in an efficient but gentle removal of the uppermost skin layer. The mechanical
irritation stimulates collagen formation. Afterwards, highly effective biological and/
or hormonal substances that are missing in the skin’s natural regeneration are
massaged onto the skin using an ultrasound probe. This treatment is completely
painless.
For optimal results, we recommend a therapy with weekly treatments over 6-12
weeks. The frequency of treatments depends on the degree of skin damage.
Microdermabrasion is suitable for patients of all ages and skin texture.
12
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy introduces certain substances under the skin using micro-injections
which then lead to a stimulation of the lymphs and the blood flow. This effect is
maximized through the injections themselves as well as the selection of substances
used.
Every two centimeters, a micro-injection is introduced into the skin. The injection
itself is a little uncomfortable but not painful. The treatment lasts 10-30 minutes,
you can go home afterwards. The effects start to show after a few hours, repetitive
treatments are necessary to achieve permanent results.
Mesotherapy begins with weekly intervals, which comprise 5-10 sessions. After 4-6
weeks, bi-weekly treatments suffice and afterwards, only monthly or bi-monthly
treatments are necessary.
