Dr. Murad Alam is Chief of the Section of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery, and Associate Professor of Dermatology,
Otolaryngology, and Surgery, in the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University in Chicago. He received his
undergraduate and medical degrees at Yale University, and completed dermatology residency at Columbia University. Dr. Alam
completed his fellowship training in laser and cosmetic surgery in Boston and in Mohs micrographic surgery in Houston. His
clinical practice includes laser and cosmetic procedures, as well as skin cancer surgery. Dr. Alam’s research is on the
effectiveness, side effects, and costs of different surgical treatments. He is a member of the editorial boards of Archives of
Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Skin Therapy Letter, Lasers in Medical Science and
Dermatology Journal Watch.
Dr. Alam is the author of more than 100 scholarly publications and six books, including Non-surgical Skin Tightening and Lifting,
Treatment of Leg Veins, Requisites in Cosmetic Dermatology, Cosmetic Procedures in Skin of Color, and Body Rejuvenation.
Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, an Advisor to the AMACPT Panel, and a Consultant on the General and Plastic Surgery Devices Panel for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

An accomplished board certified dermatologist, Dr. Bhatia is an internationally recognized expert in dermatology, dermatologic
surgery and cosmetic surgery. His expertise includes facial and body aesthetic surgery, skin cancer therapy, Mohs &
reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, and skin resurfacing procedures, as well as cutting edge treatments for many skin
conditions. Dr. Bhatia has contributed to the advancement of techniques in facial reconstruction, scar revision, fat reduction,
and the use of purified neurotoxins and fillers.
He has published extensively in journals and textbooks, and is a sought after teacher, speaker, and instructor both nationally
and internationally. Through his clinical research, publications, public service initiatives, and the use of innovative technologies
for instruction, Dr. Bhatia has made a broad range of intellectual and practical contributions to the fields of dermatology and
dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Bhatia received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the
Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honors society and earned awards for both achievement and service. He completed his
residency in Dermatology at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals where he served as Chief Resident. Subsequently, he
completed an intensive fellowship in Mohs Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, Reconstruction, Cosmetic & Laser Surgery at SkinCare
Physicians in Boston, MA under the direction of the leaders in the field from Boston University, Harvard University, and Yale
University School of Medicine.
Dr. Bhatia is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Bhatia’s
memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society
for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Jeffrey Hsu is a Board Certified dermatologist with expertise in laser surgery, leg vein treatments, soft tissue augmentation
and scar revision. Dr. Hsu specializes in minimally invasive techniques for facial and body rejuvenation.
Dr. Hsu graduated with distinction from Stanford University where he earned the coveted President’s Award for academic
achievement. He received his medical degree from University of California at Los Angeles, earning top honors along the way. He
then completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic. He pursued further training
by completing a Laser and Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Boston, Massachusetts under the direction of faculty from Harvard
University and Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hsu is also passionately involved in teaching and academic pursuits. He has already co-authored two widely used textbooks:
Manual in Dermatologic Therapeutics and Lippincott’s Primary Care Dermatology. He is the author of numerous scientific articles
in leading dermatology journals and is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences to teach other
physicians on the newest techniques and his latest scientific discoveries. Dr. Hsu is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine
(Dermatology) at Dartmouth Medical School where he gives a Cosmetic and Laser Surgery lecture series to dermatology
residents.
Dr. Hsu is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and
Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the International Society of Hair
Restoration Surgery, and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. He is affiliated with Central
DuPage and Edward Hospitals.

Dr. Bertucci is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Internist, who graduated in Medicine from the University of Toronto in 1989.
Following residency training, he went on to complete Fellowship training in Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Toronto.
Academically, Dr. Bertucci is the Co-Director of the Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Fellowship at the University of Toronto,
and a consultant Dermatologist at Women’s College Hospital in affiliation with the University of Toronto.
Dr. Bertucci holds a number of positions such as Past President of the Canadian Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Contributing
Editor for the journal Dermatologic Surgery, Executive Committee Member of the American Academy of Dermatology Advisory
Board as well as Regional Director and Board member of the Canadian Dermatology Association.
Dr. Bertucci is an accomplished speaker who regularly lectures at educational meetings at the local, national and international
level.
Currently, Dr. Bertucci is the Medical Director at Bertucci MedSpa in Woodbridge, just outside Toronto, where he runs a group
practice that encompasses cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology. He also has an active interest in new and emerging
therapies through clinical research trials.

Dr. Sue Ellen Cox is a dermatologic surgeon and the founding medical director and president of Aesthetic Solutions in Chapel
Hill, North Carolina. A graduate of New York University, she earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University
where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Cox completed her Residency in Dermatology at the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and she is board certified in dermatology specializing in
surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where
she teaches a cosmetic dermatology clinic to the third year residents. She is also a supervising physician of the residents in
dermatology program at Duke University.
Dr. Cox has a national reputation as a leader in dermatology, lasers and esthetics and over the past 20 years has lectured
national and internationally at hundreds of medical meetings teaching her techniques. Dr. Cox has been on the forefront of
injectable fillers for facial rejuvenation participating in five injectable filler studies and is currently a principal investigator in a 3year study for a new injectable filler expected to hit the market late 2012. Dr. Cox has served as a principal research
investigator for nine different Botox® studies and several Dysport® studies including a long-term safety study which has been
ongoing since 2005. Dr. Cox has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and medical books. As a
renowned skin care expert, Dr. Cox has served on advisory boards for various corporations and leading health care and
pharmaceutical companies.
An active Fellow, member, and lecturer for several organizations; including The American Academy of Dermatology and the
American Society of Lasers in Medicine, Dr. Cox served on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Dermatologic
Surgery for 3 years from October 2008 to October 2010. Dr. Cox continues to be voted one of the top ten dermatologists in
North Carolina, an annual report compiled by the Best Doctor’s in America a recognition she has maintained since 2005.

Amy Derick, M.D., FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology in Barrington, Illinois
since 2006. She is the founder and director of Derick Dermatology, LLC, which serves the dermatologic needs of nearly 16,000
patients throughout the Chicago region.
She is a featured speaker at Cosmetic Bootcamp ® courses around the country, where she trains other physicians (such as
plastic surgeons, dermatologists, facial plastic surgeons, and ophthalmologists) in non-surgical rejuvenation. In addition, Dr.

Dr. Lawrence earned her BA degree from Tulane University, and her MD from the Tulane University School of Medicine.
Following her internship and residency in dermatology at Tulane, Dr. Lawrence accepted a fellowship in dermatopathology at
the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed a Mohs Cutaneous Oncology Surgical fellowship with
Willis Cottel, MD in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Lawrence has served on the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Board of Directors, and as secretary of the executive
board. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American College
of Mohs Surgery. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Lawrence has published medical
studies in the leading journals of dermatology and has presented papers at major conferences in her field. She is the author of

skin cancer and laser resurfacing.

Dr. Melanie D. Palm is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeon.
Dr. Palm graduated with high distinction with a joint degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and the
Booth Graduate School of Business. She completed an American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in La Jolla, CA and
currently practices at Surfside Dermatology in Encinitas, CA. She serves on staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and is
an Associate Professor at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. Palm has authored 20 articles in the dermatological literature and coauthored two book chapters. She is the first author on
several review articles including topics such as liposuction, photoprotection/sunscreen use, and cosmetic filler materials. She
was awarded the 2008 Young Investigators Writing Competition from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Palm lectures nationally and internationally on laser and filler technology. She is the youngest physician to become an
educational consultant and physician instructor for Sculptra® Aesthetic. In 2010, she was named one of the top 5 physician
instructors for Sculptra®, training over 40 dermatologists and plastic surgeons on facial revolumizing.
Currently, Dr. Palm is the dermatologist-faculty lecturer for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery board review course. She
is a peer-reviewer for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, and the Journal of Cosmetic
Dermatology. She most recently was inducted into two elite young leadership groups: the American Society for Dermatologic

Dr. Rebecca Tung is Director of the Division of Dermatology at Loyola University- Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. In
addition to expertise in cosmetic dermatologic surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery, special areas of interest include laser
surgery, skin cancer therapy and general dermatology. Advanced techniques including minimally invasive cosmetic surgery,
sclerotherapy, soft tissue augmentation and facial sculpting (Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse, Juvederm, Sculptra, Botox and
Dysport), chemical peeling, full and fractional laser resurfacing are also features of her practice.
Dr Tung also maintains a cosmetic dermatology practice in Cleveland, Ohio with MetroHealth Medical Center.
Dr. Tung has published several articles and textbooks as well as making numerous national and international presentations.
Dr. Tung received her medical degree from Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She completed
