Jigsaw Activity:
1. Fossil Evidence
2. Homologies:
a. Anatomy
b. Developmental Biology
c. Cellular/Molecular
3. Geographical Distribution
4. Artificial Selection
5. Experimental evidence
Come up with what has been cited as evidence for evolution within
your assigned area (HIGHLIGHTED ON YOUR HANDOUT). You
must use the two websites provided for you at the top of the
assignment page.
Once you have come up with your information, you will be
discussing the information with your classmates in small groups,
rotating between groups, until each group has heard the other.
HOMEWORK:
Develop a posterboard, complete with diagrams or illustrations, of
evidence from the fossil record for evolution.
Fossils and transitional forms
Whales
Horses
Hippos
Others??
You must cite your sources of information for this project. The
posterboard should clearly show an evolutionary change over time
through fossil evidence of a particular modern day species and its
ancestors.
