Technical Applications and Quality Control
Light-sources. Most of the instruments are fitted with a miniature XHL Xenon
Halogen bulb with a much brighter light and longer working life than those of
conventional miniature bulbs. Each bulb is specially-designed to suit the instrument
to which it is fitted.
Power Sources. With a battery or rechargeable handle or the 12 V-Accubox
you need no mains power supply and you are completely mobile.
Convenience is a special feature of all HEINE instruments because they are
designed exclusively with the needs of the user in mind. This is particularly so
with mini instruments which can be carried in a coat pocket thanks to their
compact size and weight which is not much greater than that of a pen.
HEINE Quality. We are aware of the extreme conditions under which control
equipment must perform in industrial use, and this is always taken into account
in the design specification, materials and manufacturing methods which we apply.
2-year guarantee on material and workmanship. All HEINE products carry a
2-year-guarantee against defects in material used and workmanship. This does
not apply to consumable items.
Technoscopes from the specialist. HEINE designs and manufactures all its
products in-house. You can obtain from a single source a complete and logical
range of technical illumination and optical inspection equipment.
Compatibility. HEINE instruments are compatible with a complete range of power
sources and associated accessories. This compatibility enables you to add on future

Endoscopy is now recognised as an essential and economical examination technique in industrial applications. Endoscopic examination
reveals damage at an early stage and is invaluable in quality management of industrial process.
HEINE Optotechnik`s focus is on top-quality hand-held, direct-view endoscopes. These include rigid endoscopes which provide the
clearest images for reliable diagnosis. All HEINE endoscopes are available with a portable power supply for complete mobility.
When choosing an endoscope it is important to know what will be examined and at what distance. The size of the opening and the
access to the examination site must also be considered. There are two main kinds of endoscope: Rigid and flexible.
Rigid Endoscopes:
These incorporate high-performance lens systems which are arranged together to deliver high-resolution, high-contrast images of
exceptional clarity.
Flexible Endoscopes:
The image is transmitted by a fiber-optic bundle. This is made up of a huge number of fine glass or plastic fibers. Image pixels are
transmitted by the individual fibers in the flexible probe and are then re-aligned at the eyepiece to form the high-resolution image.

HEINE Mirror Probes and Viewing Probes for optical diagnosis in confined spaces:
Mirror probes:
HEINE Mirror Probes are used for examination through openings down to 9 mm in diameter. They are well established for examination
in the industrial environment and allow detailed examination under magnification.
Modular construction:
HEINE Mirror Probes can be custom-made to suit individual needs. The basic module is the probe head, to which various probes fitted
with XHL Xenon Halogen bulbs can be attached. Detachable mirrors can be so attached to the probe, that they can be rotated in any
direction without the risk of their becoming loose. Magnification is provided by a high-quality focusable prism telescope or a compact
swivel loupe.
Viewing probes:
The mini 2000 F.O. and BETA 200 F.O. Viewing Probes are designed for optical examination through openings down to 5 mm in diameter.
The powerful XHL Xenon Halogen bulbs and the co-axial illumination reveal details of even the smallest objects in cavaties or bores.

This robust metal head with its 3.5 V XHL Xenon Halogen bulb gives a remarkably bright,
white light when used with a 3.5 handle. The brightness can be adjusted by a rheostat
control to suit the application.

Accubox I with brightness control

Accubox and connecting cord with cinch- and HEINE-automatic plug. Compact and
handy battery box in high-impact polyamid, containing one NiMH rechargeable battery
charged by means of a mains transformer. Light in weight and fully-portable, it can be
carried in a coat pocket or attached to a belt by a clip.

F.O. Projector HEINE HK 7000®
The F.O. Projector HK 7000 incorporates a special long-life XHL Halogen bulb rated at
150 Watts. If more light is needed for a particular examination, a boost switch can
be operated, giving up to 40 % more light.

Each HEINE bulb is specifically designed as an integral part of the HEINE instrument it powers, based upon the following
parameters:
Optical Performance
The performance of each HEINE optical instrument depends on the bulb that powers it. Incorporated focusing lenses on the glass
bulb envelope, precision filament placement, and homogeneous light projection are major factors in ensuring the satisfactory
performance of your HEINE instrument.
Bulb Life
HEINE bulbs last up to 50 % longer, providing long life, optimum performance and cost-effectiveness.
Colour Temperature
Based on advanced HEINE XHL® Xenon Halogen Technology, each bulb is designed to provide the ideal colour temperature for
the diagnosis the instrument is intended for. This ensures a proper balance between brightness and true image colour for the most
accurate diagnosis.
We can only guarantee the performance and safety of your instrument if the appropriate HEINE bulb powers it. A non-genuine bulb
or incorrect bulb will impede the performance of your HEINE instrument.
Insist on genuine HEINE replacement bulbs and parts to ensure the performance of your HEINE precision instrument.
