Banco Pichincha has adopted a responsible attitude towards the environment and

Statement of Principles
Nature is affected by the impacts of human activities, both local and global, which
endangers the conservation of the benefits to society.
• The financial system should contribute to the protection of the environment through
proper management of its activities and the influence they can have on its
stakeholders, especially customers, suppliers, partners and local and foreign
counterparts.
• Prevention is the main focus of environmental protection as it seeks to avoid or
minimize environmental damage before they occur. Prevention does not try to
prevent development but to establish conditions that make it compatible with
conservation.
