Open mat Pilates is open to everyone. The class will go through a mixture of
beginner, intermediate and advanced exercise options allowing all participants to get
an effective and appropriate workout. May also include small apparatus usage such as
foam rollers, magic circles, thera- bands and hand weights. If you are brand new to
Pilates then we suggest that you take some beginner classes first to learn some
technique.
Pilates Express
The 45minute “Pilates Express” is a quick workout that breaks up the working day
giving you a physical and mental break from your work space. It is a great way to
squeeze in some exercise and relieve general aches and pains associated with sitting
or standing for long hours.
The class will be aimed at strengthening the core and back muscles helping you be
more aware of your posture throughout the working day. Pilates exercises will relieve
stress and get you back into your body which will leave you feeling energised and
ready to tackle the afternoon.

What is Pilates Pilates is an exercise regime invented by German fitness expert Joseph Pilates in
the 1920’s. It is a full body workout that works on muscle strength, length and
endurance. It focuses on alignment and strengthening the deep core muscles of
the abdominals, hips, back, buttocks & legs.
Joseph Pilates believed a flexible spine, strong trunk and integrated strength
training will strengthen your muscles and enable one to gain control of your body
integrating mind, body and spirit.
Pilates Matwork invigorates and energises the body. The Pilates Method trains
you to use the deep, stabilising, postural muscles which are often overlooked
with more aerobic forms of exercise.
In the past 15 years, Pilates has exploded into an international phenomenon and
is now practiced by millions worldwide
