Friday, Mar 13th Last day of school before Spring Break Kennedy Smith Monday, Mar 30th First day back from Spring Break Nik Newby Tyler Wessell Naemi and Rahel Stirmer Friday, April 3rd Good Friday, No School Monday, April 6th Easter Monday, No School Mrs. Campbell’s class would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to the parent volunteers who came out to help build their go-­‐karts. The day was very successful and the go-­‐karts look amazing! Thanks go out to: Robyn and Bill Smith, Brian Newby, Kevin Kulak, Jade Steckly, Melvin Regner, Buddy Sipple, Chris Moat, Michelle Webster, Dean Norman, Mark Jones, and Carson Newby. Another big THANK YOU goes out to Kim Erickson who has spent many hours in our class teaching the students about graphic design and helping them make their go-­‐kart banners out of vinyl. Basketball Congratulation to the Devereaux Basketball Team for placing 4th place overall in the basketball tournament last weekend! Jump Rope for Heart We had a very successful Jumpathon for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We were able to reach our goal of $1000! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause. Habits of the Heart This week we recognized several students for their exceptional demonstrations of the Habits of the Heart. The Habits of the Heart are Curiosity, Integrity, Empathy, Reflection, and Self-­‐Confidence. Perseverance Nate Kulak, Tucker Esau, Zane Jones, Cadence Spenner, Raea Sipple, Peirce Marshall, Jesse Jones, Jace Norman, Byron Gunter, Nik Newby, Seth Pleice, and Kendall Esau – for persevering through the basketball tournament. All students showed impeccable teamwork and determination. Integrity Alexa Frechette, Rebekka Stirmer, Payton Bassett, and Senna Gunsolley – for collecting all the sliders and bringing them inside even when they weren’t asked to do it. Danielle Hawryluk – For sticking up for one of her classmates that was being teased and for communicating more with her peers. Logan Bowe – For cleaning up the playground Empathy Kor Klein – For helping a friend learn to skip when he was very sad he wasn’t successful. Senna Gunsolley – For helping her partner stick with it. Self-­‐ Reflection Wesley Jones and Gavin Wagar – Supported each other while tandem skipping. Everyone in Mrs. Cambell’s Class – for critiquing and reviewing their go-­‐kart plans to create their best go-­‐kart possible and realizing that their plans may not work out once the go-­‐kart was built and showing a willingness to modify their plans. Integrity/Perseverance Logan Bowe, Peirce Marshall, Kendal Loomis, Tucker Esau, Kenny White, Cadence Spenner, Rahel Stirmer, Naemi Stirmer, Madison Clark, Payton Bassett, Macy Leask, Rylan Kulak, Riley Loomis, Teddy White, Kendall Esau, Byron Gunter, Emily Gunter, and Matthew McDougall – For demonstrating leadership during our jumpathon.
