close to north Memphis where
there are no other Muslim
centers. Due to the high
number of Muslims working and
living there, and the great need
of spiritual Muslim institutions
and dawah efforts in these areas,
this masjid has the potential of
making a tremendously positive
impact.
Midtown Mosque is a new Memphis
masjid opening at 1288 Jackson Ave,
Memphis, TN 38107, insha Allah.
Midtown Mosque will be a locallyfocused masjid with the main goals
of worship, da’wah, community
service, and community building. In
addition, the masjid will provide a
centralized worship space for
Muslims employed and/or living
downtown, uptown, and midtown.

Our vision is to create a spiritual
haven for Muslims in midtown and
downtown Memphis, and to be a
gateway for displaying Islam to the
greater community.

In order to make this a fully functioning Masjid, we need to pay for the building, renovate and
furnish the masjid, courtyard, and classroom, as well as buying a nearby lot for parking. The cost
of all of this will be an estimated total of only $100,000. You can donate by filling out our

Plans for the Masjid include: Community gardens,
outreach events in midtown, and courses on Islam.
Under the leadership of Imam Hamzah
Abdul-Malik, this masjid will be driven by
three agendas: promoting religious literacy,
giving dawah, and community service. The
future plans for the masjid include:
• Creating a physical Midtown Muslim
community within the immediate area of
the Masjid
• Building community gardens, orchards, and
parks for the local residents in the area

Monthly donations will go towards maintenance and
operational costs of the Masjid (i.e. utilities, community
service activities, etc.)
• Monthly Quran Khatms and quarterly
‘Itikaafs
• Neighborhood festivals
• Food, diaper, and school supply drives
• And much more!

stage for presentations

• Organizing classes in all areas of Islamic
sciences such a fiqh, tafseer, hadith,
tajweed, Quranic sciences, as well as a hifz
program for adults and children

colleges and churches in the city
