New pressure injectable models (up to 10 ml/sec) allow you to quickly and easily send your patient for a CT scan –
ensuring the integrity of the catheter and providing outstanding contrast for reading. Each catheter offers exceptional
flow rates and may be used 15 times for pressure injections. (For additional information on flow rates visit
www.Edwards.com/PI)
Vantex Catheters
Vantex catheters provide premium infection protection
that won’t wash off. Each Vantex catheter is made of
Oligon, a biocompatible and antimicrobial** material
Multi-Med Catheters
Multi-Med catheters are versatile catheters designed
for a variety of uses, including fluid administration,
blood sampling and pressure monitoring. All models
which releases silver ions and kills colonizing bacteria.
It is the only central venous catheter extruded from
polyurethane, combined with the natural elements
of silver, carbon and platinum.
are available with or without AMC Thromboshield*
coating, an antimicrobial† heparin coating, designed

* Contact inhibition of microbial growth on surface of catheters. Effective against organisms commonly associated with nosocomial infection, e.g., S. epidermidis.
** Vantex catheters contain an integrated Oligon antimicrobial material. The activity of the antimicrobial material is localized at the catheter surfaces and is not intended for
treatment of systemic infections. In vitro testing demonstrated that the Oligon material provided broad-spectrum effectiveness (≥ 3 log reduction from initial concentration within 48
hours) against the organisms tested: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Serratia
marcescens, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Enterobacter aerogenes, GMRSa, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida glabrata and VRE (Enterococcus
faecium)† Decreases viable microbe count on surface of product during handling and placement.
† Significant antimicrobial activity associated with AMC THROMBOSHIELD has been demonstrated using in vitro agar diffusion assays against the following organisms: Staphylococcus
epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens, and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus.
