Comfort Touch Therapy for chemo clients
This full body treatment is safe, unique & tailor made to each individual. It
involves a detailed assessment of the side effects of the particular chemotherapy
the client is receiving, from excessive dry skin, hand & foot syndrome, peripheral,
neuropathy and hair loss.
The treatment will be determined with your specific needs in mind as the therapist
will put together a gentle yet effective treatment plan.
At Tonic Health & Day Spa we use the skincare line called Lindi Skin, which has
been developed for skin which has been compromised by chemotherapy and
radiation. This exclusive line is FDA approved and clinically proven to lessen the
burden
of
skin
conditions
associated
with
cancer
treatments.
Your therapist has been trained in Touch Therapy for cancer clients and
will be happy to develop a treatment plan that is just right for you.
Your treatment may include a body wash, the application of an intense
hydrating body lotion, soothing balm and a relaxing hand and foot
treatment paying particular attention to the nail beds.
The treatment concludes with a gentle, nourishing facial with extracts of white
birch for its anti bacterial properties, to vitamin C to replenish the
moisture in dehydrated, flaky skin. Each clients experience concentrates on
restoring well being to body, mind & soul.
Touch Therapy for radiation clients
This soothing, gentle therapy includes the assessment of the affected area and an
application of safe and effective products from the Lindi Skin line, developed with
the skincare needs of cancer clients in mind. Hydro gels with healing aloe Vera
and soothing balm with portuluca, high in vitamin C and anti-inflammatory
properties are used.
Extract of turmeric for wound healing is among the many benefits of
these touch therapy treatments.
