Vaginal Discharge
Vaginal discharge is a combination of fluid, cells and bacteria continuously shedding; this can be normal.
Abnormal vaginal discharge can represent an overgrowth of normal vaginal bacteria, a sexually
transmitted disease, cancer or an anatomical abnormality.
An evaluation may be necessary if discharge is thick or odorous. Also if you have pain, itching, and/or
bleeding that is not part of your normal menses, an appointment may be warranted.
