Senior Medical Analyst / Advisor (m/f)
Position
As a medical analyst, you will work as part of a small research team to collect and analyse data
in the pharmaceutical/drug development space. The medical analyst will directly contribute to
progressing Akron’s existing clinical and non-clinical drug development programmes and new
drug development opportunities. For the right candidate this could be an ideal position to
acquire broad biopharmaceutical industry experience. The position is based in Vienna, Austria.

Researching, analysing and presenting scientific, clinical and commercial data on
medical indications, market sizes, competitive landscape, and development-stage or
marketed pharmaceutical products, including mechanism of action and other drug
characteristics.
Responsible for the identification and interaction with key opinion leaders (KOLs) or
project-related experts
Organising, leading and generating minutes from meetings with KOLs/experts
Preparation of reports and presentations
Contribution to regulatory documents, as well as writing of grants
Support management in the identification and assessment of new project opportunities
Support management in fund raising and business development activities
Candidate Profile

Physician (MD), preferably with at least a few years of clinical experience, alternatively a
pharmacist. Top academic performers will be preferentially selected
Strong preference for a candidate with a research background, ideally with a PhD (MD,
PhD)
Strong analytical skills with a natural curiosity
Confident in interactions with, and willing to challenge, area experts/KOLs
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Proficient in
presenting information in a concise and analytical manner
Motivated to learn general business principles and about the pharmaceutical industry
Pro-active pragmatic personality and highly independent self-starter with a drive to get
things done

Friendly and energetic with a strong team spirit, flexibility to operate in a dynamic
working environment
Work experience from the financial or biopharmaceutical industry is an advantage
An understanding of regulatory affairs is an advantage
Fluency in written and spoken English
Strong MS-Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
This position is remunerated above the minimum required by Austrian law in regard to fulltime employment. We are offering an annual salary of at least €50.000— gross plus bonus.
Depending on experience and qualifications, higher remuneration may be awarded.
